Faust

'Faaaaaaust?' 'Abeeeer.. es ist schwer' 'Verstehst du was?' 'Ahh..puei Faust e greu.' 'But do u understand it?' etc..
This is part of the comments comming from my mother, my international friends, my german friends..

It is something to read Faust, but to read it in German?!?!?!?! :P
Well..it is good that you can still find classes in the university where you can forget about the normal technical / modern life and get lost for a while in another world.

This happens also with my class 'Literatur und Kultur' already in the 4th 'season'. Faust I was a nice experience. During 3 weeks we read it and tried to understand as much as possible from the original version so that the modern interpretation we were going to see in the theater would cause us as little 'problems' as possible.

The theater play was interesting, interactive. The stage was located in the middle. Actors everywhere in the hall 'forcing' the audience to take part in their short but intensive life.








Next on the list? On the 17th June. This time 'Der Schimmelreiter' by Theodor Storm. Different from Faust but very nice too.
